Kennedy Has Some ‘Splainin’ to Do

Now that Teddy Kennedy is finally, 39 years after leaving Mary Jo Kopechne to drown, facing the possibility of meeting his Maker, I thought it fitting to list a few more things Teddy should explain when he gets there.

1. This gem, which I found quite by accident.

“The powerful winds and flood waters of Katrina tore away the mask that has hidden from public view the many Americans who are left out and left behind. As one nation under God, we cannot continue to ignore the injustice, the inequality and the gross disparities that exist in our society.”

We really should give Fat Teddy a little leeway with this issue, because if anyone knows about the “power of water” it would be him………Ooops.

In fact, he has a double with this statement, because if anyone knows about the “gross disparities in our society” it would be a silver-spooned Kennedy millionaire…..Ooooops.

And now that I think about it, Teddy hit a triple here, because everyone knows what a God-loving, man of Christian principles he is………Oooooooops!!

2. He should also explain the 180-degree turn from this statement…

“There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein’s regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed.”

3. Don’t forget this little tidbit…

“But don’t you realize — that’s where I sail!”

There are so many more but I’m bored. Move along, Teddy. Make way for someone with maybe 10% more of a clue and 1% of the corruption. It looks like the Kennedy “dynasty” of sins is ending as an obese slob of an incoherent fool with a tumor in the one part of his brain that should have shut down years ago.

Do I wish harm on him? No. But Ted Kennedy’s politics and lobbying and ridiculous conduct when it comes to the war in Iraq has resulted in the deaths of four thousand of my brothers and sisters, and the wounding of many, many more. Therefore, do I care that he’s probably going to die soon? Not one iota.
