Five Terrorists Face the Death Penalty

MIAMI - A Pentagon official has formally approved death penalty charges against reputed 9-11 architect Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four other men for allegedly conspiring in the Sept. 11 attacks, according to their charge sheet obtained by The Miami Herald.

Military Commissions officials e-mailed the approved charge sheets to defense lawyers in Washington, D.C., after the close of business May 12 - confirming plans for the first war court prosecution seeking execution as the ultimate penalty.

That means that, absent defense requests for delay, the men could make their first appearance at the Guantanamo war court in June.

A Pentagon spokesman, Navy Cmdr. Jeffrey Gordon, declined to release the charges publicly, or discuss them. ”When we have something to announce, we will,” he said in an e-mail May 14.

How anyone, even if appointed, could in good faith represent the men responsible for the calculated slaughter of Americans is beyond me. And yet these men have lawyers. Why, I ask, are they entitled to constitutional rights? Answer: They’re not.

The best part is when they start talking about “water torture.” Considering my truck has a bumper sticker that says “I Support Waterboarding,” I think we all know where I stand on the issue. The whole thing is ridiculous.

According to a leaked copy of his November-December 2002 interrogation log, U.S. interrogators used sleep deprivation, left him naked or strapped to an intravenous drip without bathroom breaks to get him to confess. They also told him to bark like a dog.

Later, he got a lawyer, Gitanjali Gutierrez of the New York Center for Constitutional Rights, who said he recanted his confession.

On May 12, Gutierrez said the Crawford’s decision to strike her client’s name from the charge sheet was a vindication.

”The dismissal of Qahtani’s charges affirm that everything he said at Guantanamo was extracted through torture - or the threat of torture,” she said.

His treatment at the Pentagon’s war on terror detention center was “so well documented and unconscionable,” she said, “that he is unprosecutable and should be return to the custody of Saudi Arabia.”

Poor baby. Maybe next time they should let him ride on a jetliner on a collision course with a building. How about he gets to jump from a skyscraper? Oh, I know. Maybe he should be allowed to lay crushed under rubble for a few days.

Sorry, no sympathy here.

Somali Terrorist Greased by American Airstrike

NAIROBI, Kenya — Aden Hashi Ayro, one of Al Qaeda’s top agents in East Africa and the leader of the Islamist comeback in Somalia, was killed Thursday morning by an American airstrike, according to American and Somali officials.

Mr. Ayro was one of the most feared and notorious figures in Somalia, a short, wispy man believed to be in his 30s who had gone from lowly car washer to top terrorist suspect blamed for a string of atrocities, including ripping up an Italian graveyard, killing a female BBC journalist and planning suicide attacks all across Somalia.

Nice guy. Sounds like a good kill to me. Of course, I’m sure there’s some weenie out in la-la land who thinks this was a “war crime” or something.

Oh, and to my brothers out there responsible for the airstrike…nice job, boys. GO BLUE!

Islamic Goat-Lovers Say Mecca is at Zero Longitude

Just when I think I’ve heard everything that is stupid, asinine, retarded, pedophiliac, butt-loving, and arrogant about that religion of peace pigs called Islam, they surprise me (h/t John Hawkins at RWN).

SPEAKERS at a Doha conference on Mecca’s importance said that the holy city, not Greenwich, should become the reference point for world time, reigniting an old controversy that started some four decades ago.

A group of Islamic scholars presented on Saturday “scientific evidence” to prove that Mecca was the core of that the zero longitude passes through the holy city and not through Greenwich in the UK.

Greenwich in England has been the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884. GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time because it is measured from the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Greenwich is the place from where all time zones are measured.

In a clear support for the call, Islamic scholar Yousuf al-Qaradawi said Islam, “unlike other religions, never contradicted science”.

The participants recommended the unification of the time in the Arab world to the time in Mecca instead of Greenwich. They also called the Arab governments to abandon the new world maps “because they are forged to serve Western interests.”

They also demanded that buildings in the Arab world be directed towards Qibla.

Now I have heard it all.

Jerusalem to Be Divided?

It disgusts me to see this, but doesn’t surprise me.

…Jerusalem, united under Israeli rule since 1967 with free access for Muslims, Christians, and Jews to all their holy sites (except the Wakf-dominated Temple Mount itself, where access for Christians and Jews is limited), is now again on the chopping block as part of the latest peace push leading up to the Annapolis conference in November.

The Palestinians, as always, say Palestinian rule over East Jerusalem is a bedrock demand and that it has to include the Temple Mount—unarguably the holiest site in Judaism while enjoying a questionable status as the “third holiest site” in Islam. Do not look to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, or her boss President George W. Bush to say in reply:

“Muslims have full control over Mecca, Medina, and many other Islamic shrines, sites, and cities from Morocco to Indonesia. We hardly see it as unacceptable that Muslims should continue to live and worship freely in East Jerusalem under benign, democratic, pluralist Israeli rule.”

Of course Israel should give up more land, right? It’s not like the Muslims don’t control the rest of the Middle East. What a lousy bunch of animalistic ingrates.

By the way, has anyone heard from the kidnapped Israeli soldiers yet? Does anyone even remember their names? For shame, Olmert, you pussy.

Three-year-old Islamic Bride in Afghanistan

Doesn’t this just make you want sharia law in the U.S.?

Little Sunam is among the 16 per cent of Afghan children married before they reach 15.

Her dad Parvez promised Sunam to her seven-year-old cousin Nieem. It was a gift to the lad’s mum, Parvez’s sister, who wanted a daughter.

The children, from Kabul, will probably marry when they are 14 or 15. Their aunt Najiba says the match is “unbreakable” and they will not be able to divorce under tribe traditions.

The minimum legal age of marriage in Afghanistan is 16 for girls and 18 for boys.

But many wed earlier, as a bride can fetch twice the average yearly salary for her family.

Human rights groups are calling for the practice to end. Manizha Naderi, of Women for Afghan Women, said: “It’s barbaric.”

Then again, isn’t everything about Islam barbaric?

Rosie Turns Down Terrorist Group’s Invite

The Queen of the Loonybin herself, Rosie O’Donnell, was invited to go to the Middle East and hang out with Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a Middle East terror group.

“I agree with what this O’Donnell says. … We welcome Rosie O’Donnell to stay among us and to get to know the truth from being here, like many American peace activists are doing,” said Ala Senakreh, West Bank chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist organization. [...] “[She can report to Americans that] we are not in love with killing, we like peace, we are human beings, it is the occupation that obliges us to do what we do,” Senakreh said.

One of O’Donnell’s minions apparently called the invite “absurd,” and said she wouldn’t be taking them up on their offer.

She’s not scared of the terrorists, mind you. She’s not worried about what they do to lesbians and homosexuals, and she doesn’t think anyone should be afraid of terrorists, but she’s not interested in going to the Middle East and coming face to face with the object of her misdirected affections, either.

Rosie, you’re a cowardly, pig-faced piece of liberal trash. If you’re not going to lead by example and get your butt out there to say hi to the Muzzies, then shut your face.
