Houston Chronicle Calls ER’s Name “Evocative”
May 6, 2008
“There’s nothing I love better than a clever blog name,” says Dwight Silverman, tech columnist for the Houston Chronicle. Euphoric Reality made his list of favorite blog names–with the following caveat:
“I’m not quite sure what [the blog name] has to do with the war on terror, Iraq or immigration issues, but it’s an evocative name.”
Thanks, Dwight. We’ll take it. By the way…if you really think about it, it’s not that hard to figure out. Euphoric Reality is a reference to the chasm between euphoria/matrix-like stupidity rampant in the general public, and reality–that elusive thing that is based in truth instead of fantasy or liberal ideology. ER seeks to bridge the two. Simple. :)
Pendleton 8 Exposed: Autopsy and Pathology Report
April 12, 2008
As promised, here are the first of many documents to come in the Pendleton 8 case. This is the autopsy of a dead Iraqi that even the report admits is only “believed to be” Awad. You’ll see handwritten notes throughout the report, and these are the notes of Sgt Larry Hutchins himself.
What makes this document so incredible is that there is no proof that the man autopsied is even the man the Marines killed that night. In fact, there is some evidence to show that the government autopsied someone who was NOT Awad, and then used that autopsy in their railroad job of the Pendleton 8. To cover their tracks, the NCIS claims they did DNA research on the man and the DNA “matches.” What they don’t tell you is that the “match” was only between the man autopsied and the man exhumed from a gravesite that may or may not have been Awad’s. The only thing the NCIS “proved” was that the man pulled out of the ground was the man they autopsied–not that they autopsied Awad.
Am I saying that the government may have literally grabbed a random Iraqi corpse and used it in a murder case against American Marines? Yes. That is exactly what I’m saying. By the time you’re done reading all of this, you’ll be saying it too.
We’ll be talking about this autopsy report and other documents tonight at 8 pm Central on The Front Line. You’ll be able to call in with questions and comments as well. Don’t miss it.
I will also be publishing a walkthrough of the report soon. Stay tuned.

Moonbats on Parade
March 19, 2008
TSO over at The Sniper has a fantastic laugh today. He works on K Street in Washington, D.C., and he had some visitors over his lunch hour.
A couple of things.
1) You people simply have no musical potential. I mean none. I realize you’re working with a bucket, but I’m thinking rhythm is not your strong suit. I’m Irish, I know lack of rhythm.
2) Your marching also sucks. It’s 9 to the front, 6 to the rear people. Eyes straight ahead. Now, some of you look borderline deformed, walking all Quasimodo style, but for the love of Spongebob, try to synchronize.
3) The F word is not what it once was. And whoever spent the better part of the last month finding rhymes for it needs to get off mom and dad’s dime. Seriously, you ain’t a poet, and everyone knows it. It gave me fits, because you rhyme like comprehensive immigration reform.
Read the whole thing. It’s worth it.
They Don’t Support the Troops–Ever.
March 13, 2008
Berkeley “thinker” explains that any support for the troops is bad–even if they’re friends or relatives.
Berkeley, CA–Every so often we read something that is so evil, so disgusting, and so vile that it stays with us after it’s read, like some kind of curse we can’t shake in our minds. This article is one of those vile things.
Kenneth Thiesen, of the Berzerkley Observer, wrote a piece called “Why I Don’t Support the Troops.” Interestingly enough, he gets one thing right:
It is objectively impossible to support the troops of the imperialist military forces of the U.S. and at the same time oppose the wars in which they fight.
Well, no kidding. We’ve been telling you people that for a while now. You telling us you don’t support the troops isn’t really news to us. It’s just letting us know to step up the fight, because you’re obviously comfortable enough now that you don’t feel the need to hide behind the tired old “I support the troops but not the war” platitude. You’re bombing recruiting offices, for crying out loud. We know you don’t support the troops.
Theisen, however, is not content to say he doesn’t support the troops. He’s not happy just to say he opposes the war in Iraq. He has a whole list of “gems” that he shares with the equally-idiotic Berkeley population:
- “We need to oppose the recruitment of men and women into the military. We need to support resisters within the military who have realized what they are doing and now choose to resist the role of the U.S. military. ”
- “We need to expose that those in the U.S. military are trained to be part of a ‘killing machine…’ The bottom line is that even if these people are relatives or friends, you can not support the troops without also supporting the objective role that these troops play in the imperialist system.”
- “United States troops are acting as destructive and murderous forces of invasion and occupation.”
- “Those of us who oppose the unjust wars of the Bush regime must struggle with those in the military and those that support them to expose what role the troops objectively play. Supporting the troops engaged in making war against other nations and people on behalf of U.S. imperialism is not acceptable.”
At least they’re being honest about it now. It’s nothing we didn’t already know, just by looking at their actions: Bombings, defecation on the flag, how they treat veterans. They hate our nation, hate our military, and therefore by definition they hate those of us who support them.
Only one problem…we’re not going anywhere, and we will continue to stand for our men and women in uniform.
Thanks to LGF for the tip.

Captured FARC Documents Link Democrats to Terror Group
March 13, 2008
GatewayPundit is all over this one, and rightfully so. The bottom line is that we’ve got full-blown Middle East terror pretty close to home. Expect the MSM to bury this. The documents link Democrats in the U.S. to FARC…and FARC to Middle East terror.
In this photo released by Colombia’s Presidency police chief Gen. Oscar Naranjo shows documents recovered from the computer of the senior commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, FARC, killed in Ecuador during a press conference at the presidential palace in Bogota, Monday, March 3, 2008. According to Naranjo some files recovered from a laptop owned by the rebel leader known as Raul Reyes, who was killed Saturday in an operation by Colombian security forces just over the border in Ecuador, reveal that the guerillas sent money to Hugo Chavez when he was a jailed coup leader before being elected Venezuela’s president and that Chavez had recently paid US$ 300 million to the FARC. (AP Photo-Cesar Carrion)
What Colombian investigators found on the FARC terror leader’s computer:
– FARC connections with Ecuadorean president Rafael Correa
– Records of $300 million offerings from Hugo Chavez
– Thank you notes from Hugo Chavez dating back to 1992
– Uranium purchasing records
– Admit to killing the sister of former President Cesar Gaviria
– Admit to planting a 2003 car bomb killing 36 at a Bogota upper crust club
– Directions on how to make a Dirty Bomb
– Letter to Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi asking for cash to buy surface-to-air missiles
– Meetings with “gringos” about Barack Obama
– Information on Russian illegal arms dealer Viktor Bout who was later captured
– FARC funding Correa’s campaign
– Cuban links to FARC
…And, more.
Of course, the fact that these twits are in the terror game up to their eyeballs doesn’t make liberals’ fascination with them any less. The anti-war nutjobs are still frothing at the mouth in desire. Idiots.

University to students: ‘All whites are racist’
November 2, 2007
Here’s a tidbit straight from the bowels of hell liberals call “intelligent and enlightened thought:”
A mandatory University of Delaware program requires residence hall students to acknowledge that “all whites are racist” and offers them “treatment” for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality they might hold upon entering the school, according to a civil rights group.
“Somehow, the University of Delaware seems terrifyingly unaware that a state-sponsored institution of higher education in the United States does not have the legal right to engage in a program of systematic thought reform. The First Amendment protects the right to freedom of conscience – the right to keep our innermost thoughts free from governmental intrusion. It also protects the right to be free from compelled speech,” said a letter from Samantha Harris, director of legal and public advocacy for The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to university President Patrick Harker.
The organization cited excerpts from the university’s Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training documents, including the statement:
“A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. ‘The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination….’”
The education program also notes that “reverse racism” is “a term created and used by white people to deny their white privilege.” And “a non-racist” is called “a non-term,” because, the program explains, “The term was created by whites to deny responsibility for systemic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence in the face of racial oppression, and to shift the responsibility for that oppression from whites to people of color (called ‘blaming the victim’).”
I don’t even know what to say to this. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. And then people still have the nerve to say that the higher education system isn’t f’ed up.
MechA Arson Claims Are a Hoax
October 28, 2007
This story is being posted all over the internet. I’ve received it twice in email tonight so far. It’s completely believable, because we know what groups like this are capable of. That being said, this particular story is a hoax.

Flag-Folding Recitation Banned in Cemeteries Nationwide
October 26, 2007
By JOE VARGO
The Press-Enterprise
Through thousands of military burials, Memorial Honor Detail volunteers at Riverside National Cemetery have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of every fold to survivors of those being laid to rest.
The first fold, a narrator tells relatives, represents life, the second a belief in eternal life.
The 11th fold celebrates Jewish war veterans and “glorifies the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”
A single complaint lodged against the words for the 11th fold recently prompted the National Cemetery Administration to ban the entire recital at all 125 national cemeteries.
A spokesman in Washington said the complaint originated from someone who witnessed the ceremony at Riverside National but would provide no other details and declined to release the directive banning the flag-folding recital, saying it was “an internal working document not meant for public distribution.”
Well, I would think so. Liberals really need lives.

And My mama’s sitting there
Looks like I only got a one-way ticket over here
I sure wish I could give you one more kiss
And war was just a game we played when we were kids
Well I’m laying down my gun
I’m hanging up my boots
I’m up here with God
And we’re both watching over youSo lay me down
In that open field out on the edge of town
And know my soul
Is where my momma always prayed that it would go
And if you’re reading this

I won’t be there to see the birth of our little girl
I hope she looks like you
I hope she fights like me
Stands up for the innocent and the weak
I’m laying down my gun
I’m hanging up my boots
Tell dad I don’t regret that I followed in his shoesSo lay me down

Prepared and Loyal
October 15, 2007
Michael Yon does it again with another tear-jerker update from Iraq. I am so damn proud of these men.
Around the corner, the CSM and I walked up to one of our Valorous Award winners who suffered a severe hip injury in that same attack. The first thing he asked me was if I thought he would be able to recover and get back to his platoon before we redeployed. A few days earlier, two other Cavalry Troopers were in the emergency room being treated. CSM Jones and I walked in together and as we approached our first soldier he yelled out,”Prepared and Loyal, Sir”. His face, arms and legs were speckled with shrapnel but all he could think about was the unit. As the nurse wheeled himout for further examination, he unashamedly told his fellow injured platoonmate that he loved him and he got the same response back. I have seen the toughest men I know cry for one another and encourage each other through some difficult times. Whoever you know in this unit, know that they are heroes. This is a very personal endeavor, indeed.

Immigration Controls Make Baby Jesus Cry?
October 15, 2007
This article literally cracked me up–not just because the lefty preacher is an incurable idiot, but because Mark Tooley is freaking brilliant and I love his sarcasm. While a Methodist minister whines that those of us who want controls put in place to stem the tide of illegals are naughty little racists who aren’t being good Christians, Tooley splits the rock and sanity comes out.
If the experience of ancient Israel is any example, no one should think that the Hebrews routinely permitted large numbers of foreigners to permanently relocate into their land. Most of the sojourners in the Scriptures reference were travelers passing through or nomads looking for temporary nourishment for their livestock. Aliens with plans to remain indefinitely in ancient Israel were expected to live as Jews, worshipping the God of Abraham. The ancient Hebrews, with their stiff punishments for idolaters and pagans, were hardly open-border multiculturalists.
Preach it, brother.
Jerusalem to Be Divided?
October 14, 2007
It disgusts me to see this, but doesn’t surprise me.
…Jerusalem, united under Israeli rule since 1967 with free access for Muslims, Christians, and Jews to all their holy sites (except the Wakf-dominated Temple Mount itself, where access for Christians and Jews is limited), is now again on the chopping block as part of the latest peace push leading up to the Annapolis conference in November.
The Palestinians, as always, say Palestinian rule over East Jerusalem is a bedrock demand and that it has to include the Temple Mount—unarguably the holiest site in Judaism while enjoying a questionable status as the “third holiest site” in Islam. Do not look to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, or her boss President George W. Bush to say in reply:
“Muslims have full control over Mecca, Medina, and many other Islamic shrines, sites, and cities from Morocco to Indonesia. We hardly see it as unacceptable that Muslims should continue to live and worship freely in East Jerusalem under benign, democratic, pluralist Israeli rule.”
Of course Israel should give up more land, right? It’s not like the Muslims don’t control the rest of the Middle East. What a lousy bunch of animalistic ingrates.
By the way, has anyone heard from the kidnapped Israeli soldiers yet? Does anyone even remember their names? For shame, Olmert, you pussy.
