Somali Terrorist Greased by American Airstrike

May 1, 2008

NAIROBI, Kenya — Aden Hashi Ayro, one of Al Qaeda’s top agents in East Africa and the leader of the Islamist comeback in Somalia, was killed Thursday morning by an American airstrike, according to American and Somali officials.

Mr. Ayro was one of the most feared and notorious figures in Somalia, a short, wispy man believed to be in his 30s who had gone from lowly car washer to top terrorist suspect blamed for a string of atrocities, including ripping up an Italian graveyard, killing a female BBC journalist and planning suicide attacks all across Somalia.

Nice guy. Sounds like a good kill to me. Of course, I’m sure there’s some weenie out in la-la land who thinks this was a “war crime” or something.

Oh, and to my brothers out there responsible for the airstrike…nice job, boys. GO BLUE!

Captured FARC Documents Link Democrats to Terror Group

March 13, 2008

GatewayPundit is all over this one, and rightfully so. The bottom line is that we’ve got full-blown Middle East terror pretty close to home. Expect the MSM to bury this. The documents link Democrats in the U.S. to FARC…and FARC to Middle East terror.

In this photo released by Colombia’s Presidency police chief Gen. Oscar Naranjo shows documents recovered from the computer of the senior commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, FARC, killed in Ecuador during a press conference at the presidential palace in Bogota, Monday, March 3, 2008. According to Naranjo some files recovered from a laptop owned by the rebel leader known as Raul Reyes, who was killed Saturday in an operation by Colombian security forces just over the border in Ecuador, reveal that the guerillas sent money to Hugo Chavez when he was a jailed coup leader before being elected Venezuela’s president and that Chavez had recently paid US$ 300 million to the FARC. (AP Photo-Cesar Carrion)

What Colombian investigators found on the FARC terror leader’s computer:

– FARC connections with Ecuadorean president Rafael Correa
– Records of $300 million offerings from Hugo Chavez
– Thank you notes from Hugo Chavez dating back to 1992
– Uranium purchasing records
– Admit to killing the sister of former President Cesar Gaviria
– Admit to planting a 2003 car bomb killing 36 at a Bogota upper crust club
– Directions on how to make a Dirty Bomb
– Letter to Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi asking for cash to buy surface-to-air missiles
– Meetings with “gringos” about Barack Obama
– Information on Russian illegal arms dealer Viktor Bout who was later captured
– FARC funding Correa’s campaign
– Cuban links to FARC
…And, more.

Of course, the fact that these twits are in the terror game up to their eyeballs doesn’t make liberals’ fascination with them any less. The anti-war nutjobs are still frothing at the mouth in desire. Idiots.

Jack Bauer At Work: Terror Cell Infiltrated And Busted

June 22, 2006

Actually, this whole scenario sounds more like Sleeper Cell. Anyway…

This is breaking news, so details are kind of sparse at this point. Attorney General Albert Gonzales has a press conference scheduled for 1000 tomorrow to disseminate more information.

From CBS via STACLU:

After an operation that started about four months ago, the FBI has arrested several suspects of domestic terrorism in a Miami low-income housing project.

The arrests took place Thursday afternoon at the Scott Housing Projects in the area of NW 68th street and 15th Avenue. Miami Police officers were seen in the area securing a perimeter for the FBI to carry out their arrests.

Sources tell CBS4 News it is unclear whether weapons or bomb-making materials were found, but those detained are suspected of being involved in planning terrorist activity.

Neighbors say suspicious activity had been observed at the home recently.

The Sears Tower in Chicago was one of the targets for a terrorist strike:

ABC News has learned that federal agents, including the FBI, are launching a series of raids tonight targeting a suspected terror cell based in Miami. According to sources familiar with the investigation, the group allegedly planned to bomb the FBI building in Miami and the Sears Tower in Chicago.

The group has been under surveillance for some time and was infilitrated by a government informant who allegedly led them to believe he was an Islamic radical. The suspects are described as African Americans and at least one man of Caribbean descent.

Note the very careful aversion to ackowledging any pertinent religion of the terrorists. “But HEY”, says ABC, “they’re BLACK”. I don’t give a crap if they’re purple - they’re terrorists. They all belong to the same religion of hate and insanity.

Allahpundit
points out that early reports that the terrorists were not Islamic are false: Government officials tell Fox the men were plotting “to wage jihad in conjunction with Al Qaeda.” HotAir has a video of the Fox News coverage.

UPDATE:Allahpundit has some good news from Capt. Ed on the nature of the terrorists, like we already didn’t know:

Residents living near the warehouse said the men taken into custody described themselves as Mulims and had tried to recruit young people to join their group, which seemed militaristic.

The residents said FBI agents spent several hours in the neighborhood showing photos of the suspects and seeking information. They said the men had lived in the area about a year.

The men slept in the warehouse, said Tashawn Rose, 29. “They would come out late at night and exercise. It seemed like a military boot camp that they were working on there. They would come out and stand guard.”

She talked to one of the men about a month ago: “They seemed brainwashed. They said they had given their lives to Allah.”

I swear - tell me that ain’t straight out of an episode of Sleeper Cell. Which if you haven’t seen yet - you MUST. That’ll get your panties in a bunch.

NBC goes a bit futher in their physical description of the Pisslamists:

The men — part of a radical Black Muslim group — were planning terror acts in Miami and Chicago, officials say…

Benjamin Williams, 17, said the group had young children with them sometimes.

“We were under the assumption that they were opening up a garage business,” he said, adding that they wore normal clothes “but sometimes they would cover their faces. Sometimes they would wear things on their heads, like turbins [sic].”

Meanwhile, Drudge is alseep at the wheel - nary a mention of the biggest news since Zarkman was eliminated or the WMDs found in Iraq (told ya so) or anything other than a very hot first day of summer. What’s up over there?!

Clueless Cannucks

June 6, 2006

“It’s too haaaaarrrrrrd…I don’t gettttt iiiiiiiit…”

TORONTO — From an unmarried computer programmer to a university health sciences graduate and the unemployed, the 17 suspects charged in a foiled terrorist plot represent a “broad strata’’ of Canadian society.

As Michelle Malkin pointed out, they are from such a “broad strata” of society that it seems impossible that they’d form an alliance. I mean, what on earth could possibly link them together in a terror plot?

At the press briefing held by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police today, the suspects who appeared in court–all sporting traditional Muslim male beards and requesting Korans–were described as coming from a “broad strata” of society.

The 12 adult suspects, again:

    1. Fahim Ahmad, 21, Toronto;
    2. Zakaria Amara, 20, Mississauga, Ont.;
    3. Asad Ansari, 21, Mississauga;
    4. Shareef Abdelhaleen, 30, Mississauga;
    5. Qayyum Abdul Jamal, 43, Mississauga;
    6. Mohammed Dirie, 22, Kingston, Ont.;
    7. Yasim Abdi Mohamed, 24, Kingston;
    8. Jahmaal James, 23, Toronto;
    9. Amin Mohamed Durrani, 19, Toronto;
    10. Steven Vikash Chand alias Abdul Shakur, 25, Toronto;
    11. Ahmad Mustafa Ghany, 21, Mississauga;
    12. Saad Khalid, 19, Mississauga.

Nope - no clues there. None.

Still, Canadian investigators have failed to find anything that connects the 17 terrorists they recently arrested.

In investigators’ offices, an intricate graph plotting the links between the 17 men and teens charged with being members of a homegrown terrorist cell covers at least one wall. And still, says a source, it is difficult to find a common denominator.

Rottweiler says, “Nobody can be that stupid. Nobody can be allowed to be that stupid.”

I can imagine his frustration since earlier, His Rottiness helped as best he could:

17 terrorist suspects from a “broad strata of Canadian society”, eh?

Well, they do have a point.

We have juvenile male devout Muslims.
We have adult, young male devout Muslims.
We have adult, middle-aged male devout Muslims.
We have gainfully employed male devout Muslims.
We have unemployed male devout Muslims.
We have highly educated male devout Muslims.
We have less highly educated male devout Muslims.

Such diversity!

I feel so sorry for the Cannucks.

Nobody ever said justice had to be deaf, dumb, AND blind!

“Palestinian” Parenting

June 2, 2006

For those of you who refuse to believe that children can be combatants in a war, or that the “Palestinians” can actually be capable of real, parental love, check out this tidbit, courtesy of Misha.

A group of Palestinian children were sent towards the Gaza Strip border fence holding toy guns on Thursday in order to test the vigilance of the soldiers on duty.

Thankfully, the IDF is better than those animals think. There was a happy (?) end to that story.

CONFIRMED: Suitcase Nukes In America

May 24, 2006

Author’s note: This article has been widely, albeit indirectly, linked and has met with equal parts agreement and skepticism. As I’ve read comments around the blogosphere, I’ve noticed that the skeptics fall into several categories which I’d like to address:

1) Al Qaeda doesn’t have nukes, or we would’ve seen them by now. This argument is the same illogic screeched by the libs when we didn’t find WMDs in clearly marked stashes in Iraq. It’s been refined since then to “explain” why Saddam didn’t use WMDs on our troops - “Well, he must not have had them.” This fallacy is what fuels the entire “BUSH LIED” doctrine of those who believe that the Iraq War is immoral and unjustified. We now know from continuously emerging intelligence that that’s not true. I don’t claim to know why terrorists do what they do; but I do know that it’s fallacious to try and impose our Western thought processes on the priorities and motivations of religiously-fueled mass murderers. And I think it’d be a crying shame if we stooped to thinking like moonbats when it comes to nukes on American soil. Does it make any sense at all to ignore a gathering threat just because our enemy hasn’t used nukes YET?

2) We’ve heard rumors of terrorist nukes for years and years - this is just another rumor. So we have, but I’m sure it’s the tip of the iceberg - there’s so much more that we haven’t heard. The public doesn’t know the half of what’s going on - that’s indisputable. But to ignore consistent and credible warnings of our enemies’ capabilities falls into the “What we dont know can’t hurt us” category. There’s 3,000 Americans who would argue otherwise, if they were here.

3) Osama’s biographer is trying to sell a book. This is a classic logical fallacy called the ad hominem. Ignore the merits of his case and instead denigrate his personal motives. Yes, Hamid Mir does have a book about Osama coming out and it no doubt will be the most up close and personal look we, the public, will ever get of him. However, Mir has built up a reputation of accuracy concerning Osama bin Laden, so I’m not inclined to dismiss his perspective just yet.

Look, the bottom line is that I’m not trying to sell you anything, nor am I going to convince you of something you don’t want to believe. I have no vested interest other than this is a subject that I am keenly interested in. At the very least it’s a springboard to long overdue discussion of what our response will be to a nuclear attack.

We’ve always known that 9/11 was not al Qaeda’s be-all/end-all plan - that they had more far-reaching objectives and the patience to see them through. Our own leaders have always said, “It’s not a matter of “if”, but “when”. Muslim terrorists have proven time and time again that they have no qualms about escalating the violence. If you think that the War on Terror is about foiling the next shoe bomber, or nabbing box cutters at the airport, you are sorely mistaken.

Personally, I see a direct correlation between bin Laden’s request and receipt of a nuclear fatwa in 2005, his offer of a truce back in January, and his subsequent pronouncement that “all American civilians are fair game” in April. All of that points to an acceleration of events - and it’s not for a mere shoe bomb at a football stadium, that much is certain.

Is a strategic and coordinated nuclear attack impossible? Knowing what we know of the resources and goals of our enemy, I don’t think so.

*****SIX UPDATES below*****

Almost a year ago, last July, I posted the news that Latino gangs had already smuggled suitcase (ie: portable) nukes over the U.S.-Mexico border for al Qaeda. I pointed out that our government was well aware of the situation and while yet refusing to secure the border, they nevertheless ordered the construction of nuclear bunkers for THEMSELVES!! Meanwhile, our borders have remained wide-open and under constant terrorization by Latino gangs who aid terrorists unhindered, and we still don’t know where the suitcase nukes are.

On Monday, I published a compilation of irrefutable evidence of how terrorists regularly use our unsecured borders as a direct highway into the heart of our country. Now today, there is additional confirmation that al Qaeda indeed has nukes inside our country:

Moussaoui’s Worthless Life Saved by a Lying Jury Member

May 13, 2006

Zacarias Moussaoui had one holdout juror who, reminiscent of some Muslims themselves, lied about their views during jury discussions and claimed to be for the death penalty, then consistently (and anonymously) voted against putting him to death.

“Wednesday [April 26] was a very intense day,” [the jury foreman] said. “But there was no yelling. It was as if a heavy cloud of doom had fallen over the deliberation room, and many of us realized that all our beliefs and our conclusions were being vetoed by one person. . . . We tried to discuss the pros and cons. But I would have to say that most of the arguments we heard around the deliberation table were” in favor of the death penalty. [...]

“I felt frustrated,” [the jury foreman] said, “because I felt that many of us had been cheated by the anonymity of the ‘no’ voter. We will never know their reason. We will never be able to hold their reason up to the light and the scrutiny of evidence, fact and law.”

The Washington Post interviewed some of the jurors and said that the first juror to be interviewed “voted for life in prison because he thought that Moussaoui’s role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks was marginal.”

It sickens me that this happened. What’s more, the Times Online reports that “Although the White House was said to be privately furious at the verdict, President Bush said that the jury’s decision to spare his life was indicative of American justice.”

No. Justice would have been a Moussaoui in a soundproof room with a few Marines.

‘Allahu Akbar’ - Off With Her Head!

May 8, 2006

UPDATE: The video, while depicting a horrific decapitation, is NOT of journalist Atwar Bahjat. There is so much to this mind-boggling story, I need to send you directly to the source for the whole scoop. There are more convolutions to this thing, the media’s in a frenzy for getting it SO WRONG, and My Pet Jawa has got more links to the side story than you can shake a stick at.

No one knows why the Times journalist, who was a close personal friend of Atwar’s and who saw the video with another close friend of Atwar’s, claimed it was her! The revelations keep coming and more likely tomorrow when the sun rises in London.

This is all must-read stuff, so stay tuned. Whatever updates I find, I’ll post.

UPDATE 2: Ugh. I can’t watch. But here is the video of the decapitation in question. It’s been circulated on jihadi message boards. WARNING: Very, very graphic.

UPDATE 3:  If you haven’t read Kit’s editorial, inspired by the gut-roiling shock she experienced while watching the above decapitation video, you MUST.  In fact, if you can’t make up your mind about watching that video, read her words first.  You’ll be shaken to your core.

Original post below:

I really hate starting the week out with such a terrible account. A female Iraqi journalist, Atwar Bahjat, who was formerly reported as shot and killed after the Samarra shrine bombing, was unfortunately captured and tortured by her abductors. The following details of her torture and subsequent decapitation are horrific and unprecedented in their cruelty.

Blogger reaction is in the extended entry.

Warning: Do not read further if you can’t handle the details of a grotesque murder. It’s that bad. If, however, you need further insight into the sick barbarity of the Religion of Peace, read on.

The Religion Of Peace In The Classroom

April 19, 2006

Today in Baghdad:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Militants broke into two schools in a mainly Shiite district of Baghdad and “slaughtered” two teachers in front of their pupils, the Iraqi government said Wednesday.

The attack occurred at the Amna and Shaheed Hamdi elementary schools in Baghdad’s Shaab neighborhood, the Ministry for National Security said. …One teacher was killed at each school.

God-forsaken ANIMALS.

The children in these schools are only 6 to 12 years old!!

UPDATE: The teachers’ heads were sawn off in front of the terrified children. A ministry official said he believed the attacks were aimed at: “intimidating pupils and disrupting learning.” Uhhh - ya think??!

UPDATE 2: Is this story a hoax? The ever-vigilant In The Bullpen has more:

It seems journalists have abandoned the classic journalistic job of actually finding the source of the news and then writing a story based on events and instead deferred to others to break the story and then just carry what that one media outlet reported.

There may yet have been another such occurrence. From earlier reports, and posted by Euphoric Reality, both the Associated Press and Reuters ran with a story that two teachers in a Baghdad school were beheaded in front of students. This information seemingly came from the Interior Ministry who issued a brief press release on such a brutal crime, but did it actually happen?

Chad points out a disturbing trend in the way the MSM reports news.

I’ll keep an eye on this, to see what develops.

Hamas: But We Are Moderate. Really.

March 27, 2006

Here’s a laugh-out-loud Monday morning funny from Hamas:

“In the meantime, we have work to do, laying down the ground for real democracy and transparency and getting rid of corruption. That is our first priority. We want to repair our economy. Then we must give our people some measure of social justice. And we want to promote international peace. We want international support.

“OK, yes, it happened, we did suicide attacks but now there is a truce. We deplore any action where civilians are killed, yes, including Israeli civilians. We are a moderate Islamic movement. We are not terrorists. We are freedom seekers. Please, tell your readers, please help us secure this goal.”

Moderate freedom-seekers who only want democracy and international peace? Charming.

UAE Funds Hamas

March 24, 2006

While touring for funds, the Hamas leadership vowed to continue armed reprisals against Israel:

Hamas leader-in-exile Khaled Meshaal said on Wednesday the Palestinian militant group will continue to fight Israel and told the United States that its Middle East policy would fuel terrorism… “Armed resistance is legitimate. All resistance options are open to the Palestinian people and Palestinian factions including Hamas,” said Meshaal, who is touring Arab and Muslim countries to solicit financial and political support.

No matter - that doesn’t phase our so-called Middle East allies! They always have, and will continue to fund terrorism:

DUBAI (AFP) - The militant group Hamas said it was assured that the United Arab Emirates would continue to provide financial aid to the Palestinians under a Hamas-led government.

A Hamas delegation led by political chief Khaled Meshaal was told during talks in Abu Dhabi that the oil-rich UAE would “go on providing financial aid to the Palestinian people and their Hamas-led government,” delegation member Ezzat al-Reshq told AFP on Wednesday.

No surprise there. Nor here either:

Oil-rich Saudi Arabia has also said it will carry on its financial support for the Palestinians.

MORE Proof of Iraq/Al Qaeda Collaboration

March 23, 2006

The media and liberals (pardon the redundacy) are ignoring this rock-solid proof that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden were in cahoots in the years leading up to 9/11:

An Iraqi intelligence document released last week indicates that Osama bin Laden sought to conduct “joint operations” with Saddam Hussein’s regime six years before the 9/11 attacks - and was given the green light by the Iraqi dictator.

The document, detailed in the March 27 issue of the Weekly Standard, describes a Feb. 1995 meeting between bin Laden and Iraqi intelligence that was personally approved by “the Honorable Presidency” - an apparent reference to Saddam.

“We discussed with bin Laden his organization. He requested the broadcast of the speeches of Sheikh Sulayman al-Uda (who has influence within Saudi Arabia and outside due to being a well known religious and influential personality) and to designate a program for them through the broadcast directed inside Iraq, and to perform joint operations against the foreign forces in the land of Hijaz (Saudi Arabia).” [Uhhhh, those foreign forces would be us.]

The document goes on to note that “the Honorable Presidency was informed of the details of the meeting in our letter 370 on March 4, 1995.”

The document indicates that Saddam personally granted bin Laden’s request for help with propaganda broadcasts and instructed his agents “to develop the relationship [with bin Laden] and the cooperation between the two sides to see what other doors of cooperation and agreement open up.” [9/11, anyone?!]

The 1997 Iraqi intelligence document goes on to report: “Currently we are working to invigorate this relationship through a new channel in light of his present location (Afghanistan).”

Here’s the understatement of the year:

The reference by Iraqi intelligence to “joint operations” with bin Laden apparently contradicts one of the 9/11 Commission’s most important findings that Saddam had no “operational relationship” with al Qaeda.

Duhhhhh - ya think?!

And of course, there’s much, much more… Be sure to listen to the audio*** below!!

Iran And Al Qaeda - Collaborating?

March 22, 2006

The LA Times reported yesterday that U.S. officials are investigating links between Iran and Al Qaeda. It was an in-depth article that has been skillfully analyzed at In the Bullpen:

The Los Angeles Times reports U.S. intelligence is trying to determine what relationship, if any, there is between the Iranian leadership and the known Al Qaida leaders that reside in the nation. Previous reports indicate there could be up to 25 high-ranking Al Qaida leaders inside Iran that are known to reside inside the nation by the Iranian government. The reports indicate these leaders are either in house-arrest, held up in Revolutionary Guard houses and/or bases or they are allowed to roam somewhat free. Of course Iran denies this.

    Some officials, citing evidence from highly classified satellite feeds and electronic eavesdropping, believe the Iranian regime is playing host to much of Al Qaeda’s remaining brain trust and allowing the senior operatives freedom to communicate and help plan the terrorist network’s operations.
    [...]
    And they suggest that recently elected President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad may be forging an alliance with Al Qaeda operatives as a way to expand Iran’s influence or, at a minimum, that he is looking the other way as Al Qaeda leaders in his country collaborate with their counterparts elsewhere.

    “Iran is becoming more and more radicalized and more willing to turn a blind eye to the Al Qaeda presence there,” a U.S. counter-terrorism official said.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend…

As Chad points out, “Throughout the course of history, natural enemies have banded together in times of war. The initial German-Soviet non-aggression pact is a prime example, as is the Allied Powers.” We now know, as was originally suspected, that Iraq was collaborating with Al Qaeda, and it’s not much of a stretch to imagine the psychopath Ahmandinejad in a marriage of convenience with Al Qaeda too. Here’s a chilling thought: right now, inside Iran - a nation that is aggressively developing its nuclear program - is the Al Qaeda leader of developing WMDs and its top explosives expert!

You’ve got to read the rest…
