Euphoric Reality

Exposing the military justice system since 2004.

Now that America has shown us all that affirmative action even works in politics, I’ve compiled a list of things that you can probably expect to happen.  These predictions are 80% gleaned from information I have access to, and 15% gut instinct based on many years of research, historical study, and being glued to current affairs.  The other 5% is just anger at my countrymen’s stupidity–I admit it.

—–

- Websites and mass emails offering “free grants,” courtesy of the government and “Obama’s wealth redistribution.”  Actually, this one’s a freebie, because I have an email with a date and timestamp of literally 7 minutes after Obama was declared the winner, offering exactly that.

- Israel will understand this election was the end of any type of assistance, military or otherwise, from the U.S., and will stop holding back their defense at the request of the American administration.  Look for a first strike on Iran soon, as well as increased activity by the Israeli military in general.

- Look for Iranian retaliation–against American targets.  That goes doubly for other terrorist organizations.  We just elected a man with the full endorsement of every major terrorist group in the world as leader of the free world.  It’s the political equivalent of hiring a child molester to babysit your kids while you leave for the weekend.  Not only is HE going to have fun with your child, but he’ll probably sit and watch while his friends come over and do it too.

- Look for far-left justices appointed to the Supreme Court, effectively tying up the entire government in a trifecta of liberal humanism, the buzzwords of which remain empty platitudes like “hope and change.”

- Military cases of troops being tried and convicted for killing the enemy in combat will continue to rise–and the conviction/plea-bargain rate will stay at nearly 100%, as the government seeks to use the best men and women this country has to offer as sacrifical lambs on the altar of global appeasement.

- Look for the slow but steady erosion of rights you have enjoyed for your entire lives–all the while being told it’s “for your own good.”  Restrictions on gun ownership, home schooling, encouraged dependence on the ever-growing federal government.  More nanny-state provisions will be put into place to protect the “disadvantaged” and the “poor,” (read: lazy, uneducated, unwilling to better themselves) even while groups like the unborn, the mentally handicapped, elderly, and terminally ill are slowly pushed toward euthanasia.  Of course, this will be done with feel-good phrases like “death with dignity,” “not wanting to be a burden,” and “merciful release from suffering,” all of which ignore the basic fact that we are killing people without their consent for the “good of the people.”  Before you tell me I’m crazy, let’s just remember that Barack Obama was the ONLY senator in the Illinois state senate to vote against providing medical care for babies who were inconsiderate enough to survive an abortion.  Also, look for taxes to go up.  Yes, they’ll go up.

- You think the economy is bad now?  Just wait.  You’ll have the most expensive “free” health care ever.  Bread lines aren’t just for Russians anymore.

We have traded experience for color, freedom for slavery–and the irony is that the average American sheeple thinks their vote somehow righted an ancient wrong, somehow ENDED the spectre of slavery and ushered in some beautiful era of liberty.  In reality, we are about to be less free than you ever thought possible.

I watched the faces of those crowded into the mob (excuse the pun) in Chicago.  They stared at Obama like he was a god, an idol, a panacea to their every want and need.  We have truly failed as a nation if we are at the point where we feel we must look to one man to take care of us all, to be our father figure and our sugar daddy.

The eyes of Obama and McCain were also telling.  McCain acted with class and grace in his concession speech, offering the most honorable response I’ve seen yet.  I don’t agree with all of McCain’s positions, but it cannot be denied that the man has served his nation–at permanent and severe detriment to himself–for half a century.  His eyes were clear and sincere, honest.  His speech underlined the very reasons why, of the two men offered, he was hands down the best choice.

Conversely, Obama’s eyes were cold, calculating.  His manner was smug and still carried the arrogance he has always had.  His facial expression was one of barely disguised disdain for everything people like me believe in.  His body language was smooth, polished–too much so.  He is charismatic to those who don’t know what to look for, and he is inspiring to those who cannot or will not think for themselves.   However, too many who voted for him are guilty of the most dangerous kind of hypocrisy.  You see, we are told daily that we must not see color, just mankind.  (We are all family, you know–or so we’re told.)  And yet Barack Obama was handed the White House on a silver platter by a fawning media, a bevy of foreign donors (who, to this day and in violation of U.S. election laws, remain nameless and unaccounted for), and a populace who voted based on color instead of right and wrong–even in the face of the most damning evidence against a Presidential candidate in many years, perhaps ever.

It is said that the people receive the government they deserve.  Sadly, I fear that’s correct.  We have become complacent, unwilling to see the writing on the wall, content to frolic in the warm water without bothering to notice that it’s been getting hotter by the minute.

So enjoy your victory.  Jump around.  Have a party, and make fun of those of us who fought to make sure your “messiah” didn’t get access to the most powerful position in the world.  Just remember when it all comes crashing down: You own the White House, the Congress, and soon the Supreme Court.  You’ll have no one to blame but yourselves.

As for me, I’m buying my handguns this week.

Author’s Note, 1/6/09: The above article has been featured at Snopes.com and many sites throughout the internet in the last two months.  It was originally written as an email to family and friends on the night of the election, and therefore did not include supporting documentation or evidence that would normally accompany such an editorial.  Had I known the widespread attention it would receive, I would have included the corroborating evidence.

The article is not intended to “fire up the base,” nor is it an affirmation of Republican ideals or talking points.  I am not a Republican, nor am I a fan of George W. Bush.  I am simply an independent conservative who has done an incredible amount of research, and interviewed a great number of people with information that backs up the points I have made.

It is my hope that readers will simply use the information to be aware.  Don’t believe the article simply because it’s on the internet.  Do the research.  Educate yourself–preferably before you send me a poorly-written email calling me names like “Racist” or “Warmonger.”  The information is there for anyone to find.

One last thing…before you dismiss the article as “Right wing hogwash,” you may want to go read what’s going on in Israel right now.

If you’re not reading Zombie’s on-site coverage of the DNC IdiotFest ’08, you’re not living.  Seriously.

I came across this little gem in the Seattle Weekly, which is really only good if you’re looking for something to do on a Friday night.  Otherwise, it’s a hodge-podge of liberal spew.

Until Don Ward came along and gave me some guilt-free pleasure with a little hippie bashing.  In an effort to help recruit some “good hippies” to the lagging anti-war movement, he offers this survey for would-be flagburners:

Do you think the Bush Administration purposefully brought down the Twin Towers in order to lead the United States into a war of aggression solely to enrich Halliburton and Exxon Mobil?

Have you ever committed to wearing orange to express solidarity with Gitmo Prisoners and enemy combatants held in Abu Ghraib; along with the Ukrainian Revolution, Ulster Protestants, Aquaman, Hollywood celebrities and the Orange Fanta Girl?

Do you like to put all kinds of weird, metal shit in your face in order to show how unique, original and eclectic you are?

Is “The Stranger” the first place you go to in order to obtain clear, reasoned articles about local and national news?

Do you have two to nine years of a liberal arts education from a state university or community college; preferably 15-20 credits short of graduation?

Is bathing a form of patriarchal oppression imposed by the bourgeois to keep the masses enslaved in a web of consumerism, capitalism and deceit?

Are there eight or more bumper stickers on the back of your Volvo?

Can you go completely limp while being shoved to the pavement, put into handcuffs and led away to the backseat of a police car?

Do you have the ability to – with a straight face – call soldiers murderers, morons and douche bags while at the same time claiming to “support the troops but not the war”?

Can you recite clever protest chants like “Not our war, not our choice”, “Bush Lied, People Died”, “Hey-hey, ho-ho, this illegal war has got to end” and “Fuck you, pigs! We’re fucking protesting peacefully. Fuck! Tear gas. FUCK!!! My eyes… Arrrghhh!!!”?

Simply priceless.

John Hawkins over at Right Wing News has compiled Part 2 of his list entitled “25 Reasons You Might Be A Liberal,” and it’s definitely amusing.  My personal favorites:

* You live in a great and free nation like America and can use phrases like “audacity of hope” or “speaking the truth to power” without the slightest hint of irony.

* You tell anyone who’ll listen that our elections are fraudulent and then you fight tooth and nail to prevent states from requiring a photo ID to vote.

* You think we should give condoms to thirteen year-olds because “they’re going to do it anyway,” but feel that we can get rid of every gun held by criminals in the U.S. simply by making them illegal.

* You think Anita Hill was telling the truth about Clarence Thomas, but Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Linda Tripp, Dolly Kyle Browning, Sally Perdue, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick — among many others — are all lying about the Clintons.

I think John forgot a few though.  Here without further ado are my humble additions to his already-great list.

- You are aghast at the idea of American troops killing murderous Islamics who are trying to kill us, but you’ll defend the “right” of a woman to have as many abortions as she wants.

- You want the U.S. to stay out of everywhere in the world…except Darfur.

Looks like the Hilldebeest just doesn’t know when to quit and cut her losses. Can you imagine this woman at a blackjack table? She’d start betting clothing after a while just to stay in…and how disturbing is that?

The actual total debt of her campaign, as reported in the campaign finance filing for April, is $10 million in loans to herself plus $9.48 million in unpaid bills.

Additionally, campaign officials said the New York senator gave herself another $1.4 million loan in May, producing a total current debt of $20.88 million. But the latest loan that occurred in May will not show up on finance filings until next month.

Guess those diehard feminazis who claim poor Hillary is the victim of those hairy, nasty, chauvinistic piggy males are out of cash to keep donating. Maybe they used their pennies to pay for batteries.

Everyone’s up in arms about the comments President Bush made while at the Knesset in Israel. Pelosi’s whining that it’s “beneath the office of the President,” Biden’s coming unglued, and all the Dems are lining up behind to slap someone’s wrist and say “poo on you.”

What’s the horrible quote in question?

“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” Bush said in an address to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, on Thursday. “We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is – the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”

What’s the ruckus about? I say amen, amen, and kudos to Bush for saying it. Of course, it’s a bit late, since anti-war appeasement Dems are about as out of control as can be. But the sentiment is nice.

FOX reports that Sen. Hildebeast Clinton loaned herself $6.4 million in the last month to keep her struggling campaign afloat. The pundits are so busy talking about her chances against Obamination that it seems everyone’s missing the most obvious question of all: How in blazes is that bimbo expected to do anything with the national budget when she can’t manage her own campaign? And she wants the government to pay for healthcare too? Is she going to loan herself funds for that? And who’s going to reimburse her for these loans?

Wake up, people. She’s a freaking idiot, and if people stopped cooing over the whole woman-or-black-guy thing, they’d realize that Obama and his competition are about as useful as teats on a boar. I haven’t said much about the election because I’ve been so disgusted with it all, but I suppose it’s time to just lay it out on the line.

First of all, you have Obama, who’s a piece of dog crap disguised as the Great Minority Hope. He’s vague enough to pick up the votes of the uninformed (Who doesn’t like “hope” and “change?”), but crazy enough to pick the nutroots’ vote. If he actually gets in the White House, I will have lost all faith in the ability of this nation to last another 5 years. And yes, I’m serious.

Then you have Hillary Clinton, who spells her last name c-o-r-r-u-p-t-b-i-t-c-h. I’d love to say that no one really takes this woman seriously, but then I read up on some of the comments left by Hilldebeast hopefuls around the net. These people live in a fantasyland so deep that it makes Willy Wonka look like a realist. She’s approaching that phase I call “Ronpaulism,” which is characterized by people looking at your campaign and saying, “Sweety, doesn’t anyone love you enough to tell you to go home?”

The crown jewel of this election, however, is McCain, who is only conservative if you somehow forgot what being a conservative means. I will vote for the idiot only because I’d rather die than see one of the Wonder Twins elected. That being said, it confuses me to no end that you have bloggers calling themselves “conservative” and yet honestly believing McCain is worth putting in the White House on his own merit and not as a stopgap for the Democratic World Defeatist Tour.

This is from McLoony’s site:

He is a common sense conservative who believes in a strong national defense, a smaller, more accountable government, economic growth and opportunity, the dignity of life and traditional values.

Common sense? How is it common sense to allow illegals anything in our country besides swift deportation and/or punishments for border jumping that actually deter the little losers from coming over to begin with?

How is it common sense to go behind the back of the people and the rest of Congress to broker deals with the other side instead of standing for what’s right?

How is it common sense to say that we cannot do what needs to be done in order to gain information from terrorists that would save American lives?

I’ll save you the suspense. It’s not common sense. It’s self-promoting, kiss-butt machinations designed to ingratiate himself with as many people as possible. McCain’s not a conservative, he’s a politician in every sense of the word, groomed and thrust down our throats by the media, who shaped the race from day one to ensure the actually qualified candidates (read: men with balls) were weeded out due to lack of visibility. (Do you know who Duncan Hunter is? I rest my case.)

I’ll say this very plainly: You cannot call yourself a true conservative and ACTUALLY support McCain at the same time–unless your only point in supporting him is to keep Tweedledee and Tweedledum out of the candy jar. And for all you blogs out there who think McCain is anything less than the bottom of the conservative barrel, bring your facts and we’ll debate. I’ll even give you airtime on the radio show.

If this doesn’t get your blood boiling, I’m not sure what will.

The Democratic National Committee has sparked outrage among veterans and others across the internet by running an anti-John McCain ad that shows U.S. soldiers being blown up.

After the new ad’s voice-over castigated McCain for suggesting that the United States may stay in Iraq for “maybe 100” years, the footage becomes shocking.

The DNC ad then shows an explosive device detonating near two soldiers standing beside a palm tree. The two soldiers disappear in an explosive fireball. The video also shows images of burning vehicles.

The fact that Dems would even THINK of using the deaths of two American soldiers to further their defeatist political agenda makes me want to put THEM by a palm tree with an IED. The thing is, they’re gleeful about it. They’re unapologetic. Do they not get that those soldiers are someone’s husband and father and brother and son? What kind of ghouls are these people?

Antiwar students are out showing their idiotic lack of coherent thought processes again.

SANTA CRUZ – Performing a spoof on TV award shows, a dozen students opposed to military recruiters disrupted a UC Santa Cruz career fair Tuesday, giving Marine and Army officers certificates for being “the best manipulator of sexuality” and telling “the most lies in advertising.”

The Students Against War demonstration, which followed a rally and march of 100 activists, was tame compared to a 2005 clash that led UCSC to close the event. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made Tuesday.

There’s a great editorial here on the event. Perhaps not everyone over there is stupid.

Protest organizers say their goal this year was to engage people in nonviolent civil protest and not to shut down the career fair because they believe students should have the choice to talk to military recruiters if they want.

We find that talk encouraging — though the words ring hollow. Another of the protesters told a reporter that “military recruiters aren’t welcome here.”

Which is it?

We’d also like to ask protesters if they do not want recruiters targeting uneducated minorities, why protest a job fair on a college campus?

We expect college campuses to be hotbeds of free speech. We encourage it. Heck, it’s our stock in trade. But we like to listen to, and give a voice to, myriad opinions.

Protesters ought to give it a try.

Here’s a tidbit straight from the bowels of hell liberals call “intelligent and enlightened thought:”

A mandatory University of Delaware program requires residence hall students to acknowledge that “all whites are racist” and offers them “treatment” for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality they might hold upon entering the school, according to a civil rights group.

“Somehow, the University of Delaware seems terrifyingly unaware that a state-sponsored institution of higher education in the United States does not have the legal right to engage in a program of systematic thought reform. The First Amendment protects the right to freedom of conscience – the right to keep our innermost thoughts free from governmental intrusion. It also protects the right to be free from compelled speech,” said a letter from Samantha Harris, director of legal and public advocacy for The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to university President Patrick Harker.

The organization cited excerpts from the university’s Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training documents, including the statement:

“A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. ‘The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination….’”

The education program also notes that “reverse racism” is “a term created and used by white people to deny their white privilege.” And “a non-racist” is called “a non-term,” because, the program explains, “The term was created by whites to deny responsibility for systemic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence in the face of racial oppression, and to shift the responsibility for that oppression from whites to people of color (called ‘blaming the victim’).”

I don’t even know what to say to this. It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. And then people still have the nerve to say that the higher education system isn’t f’ed up.

The Press-Enterprise

Through thousands of military burials, Memorial Honor Detail volunteers at Riverside National Cemetery have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of every fold to survivors of those being laid to rest.

The first fold, a narrator tells relatives, represents life, the second a belief in eternal life.

The 11th fold celebrates Jewish war veterans and “glorifies the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”

A single complaint lodged against the words for the 11th fold recently prompted the National Cemetery Administration to ban the entire recital at all 125 national cemeteries.

A spokesman in Washington said the complaint originated from someone who witnessed the ceremony at Riverside National but would provide no other details and declined to release the directive banning the flag-folding recital, saying it was “an internal working document not meant for public distribution.”

Well, I would think so. Liberals really need lives.

Dear God, Misha cracks me up…but the story is hilarious too.

This column is reason #4,762 why I have an intellectual crush on Vox Day. That, and he’s cute.

“Choose this day whom you will serve,” Joshua once asked the people of Israel. The Miller Brewing Company, when asked to make a similar decision, preferred to serve alcohol to catamites instead of Catholics, as evidenced by their decision to sponsor the Folsom Street Fair in Sodom-by-the-Bay last week. It is, of course, perfectly legal for Miller to wave their Genuine Draft banner proudly over the scenes of bald men in leather whipping the bare bottoms of other bald men in leather; it seems Miller is determined to identify its product with a short-lived, disease-ridden, non-propagating minority who represent at most two percent of the population.

The paragraph above is also Reason #459 why I drink Budweiser. Well, that and Miller tastes like what I assume the north end of a southbound dog would resemble.

If this isn’t disgusting, I don’t know what is. And one more thing–if anyone is out there still calling The Governator a freaking conservative, they need their head examined.

CCF noted that now on a banned list will be any text, reference or teaching aid that portrays marriage as only between a man and woman, materials that say people are born male or female (and not in between), sources that fail to include a variety of transsexual, bisexual and homosexual historical figures, and sex education materials that fail to offer the option of sex changes.

Further, homecoming kings now can be either male or female – as can homecoming queens, and students, whether male or female, must be allowed to use the restroom and locker room corresponding to the sex with which they choose to identify.

AB394 promotes the same issues through state-funded publications, postings, curricula and handouts to students, parents and teachers.

It also creates the circumstances where a parent who says marriage is only for a man and a woman in the presence of a lesbian teacher could be convicted of “harassment,” and a student who believes people are born either male or female could be reported as a “harasser” by a male teacher who wears women’s clothes, CCF said.

Thomasson said Schwarzenegger also signed AB14, which prohibits state funding for any program that does not support a range of alternative sexual practices, including state-funded social services run by churches.

As many of you may already know, the Gathering of Eagles website was hacked and taken down by a Denial of Service attack two days ago. Thankfully, our hosting company (HostGator–highly recommended) was quite personable and worked with us over several hours to rectify the problem. Total downtime was only about 12 hours, with no harm done.

While the question of “Who would do such a thing?” is as stupid as the answer is obvious, allow me to give you a hint. The attacks came only hours after we posted the juicy tidbit that Adam Kokesh, idiot extraordinaire and head of Iraq Veterans Against the War, made public threats against Chris Hill, GOE’s National Director of Operations. Titled “Heaven Help This Guy If I Run Into Him On The Street,” the post could have been written by an 8-year-old, filled with not only a litany of stupidity but outright lies about the scuffle between Eagles and nutjob-turned-Gold Star Father Carlos Arredondo. Let’s not forget that Carlos, upon being told his Marine son had willingly sacrificed himself for his nation, promptly attempted to set himself on fire inside the Marine Corps van outside his home.

[Side note: It really chaps my butt when idiots like Cindy Sheehan and Carlos Arredondo use the willing and noble sacrifice their sons make in order to gain political points with the communists trying to destroy our nation. It chaps my butt even more when the Communists use already emotionally unstable wackos like these two to further their agenda. "What, Carlos? You want to drag a coffin with an upside-down flag and your son's photo down the street like a Red Rider wagon? Of course! In fact, your press conference is at 3. Go see the makeup guy, dear. And it's okay if you act crazy. That's good press."]

How do I know Kokesh is lying? I was there, remember? I know better than most what happened that day. But Kokesh is less concerned with facts than whipping up the peaceniks into a righteous frenzy. Because, of course, God knows they support the troops and love Gold Star families. In fact, let’s not forget that the antiwar movement loves the troops so much they gave $600,000 in cash and medical supplies to them. Oh, wait. That was actually aid to the terrorists we’re fighting. Oops. Well, they gathered in D.C. by the thousands to honor the sacrifices of those Gold Star families by reading the names of the fallen…oh, wait. No they didn’t. They used the names of the fallen as props for a “die-in” that resulted in almost 200 arrests while some of the parents of those heroes watched in agony and rage that their sons’ names were being trashed by the very people they died for.

And then people wonder why conservatives can’t stand liberals.
