Gathering of Eagles Gearing Up to Face Anti-American Protestors at USCG Academy

May 8, 2008 · Print This Article

For the second year in a row, the parents of graduating Coast Guard Academy cadets will be treated to the sights and sounds of anti-war loons screaming curses, singing “peace” songs, and holding up signs claiming that U.S. troops are war criminals.

For the second year in a row, patriots from Gathering of Eagles will be there to counter the “peace” idiots with a message of pride, fortitude, and will to win in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The permit for the Gathering of Eagles, issued April 7, allows the group to gather south of the academy’s main gate on the east side of Mohegan Avenue. The group requested the permit to greet the families of Coast Guard graduates and the vice president. They must remain on the sidewalk and grassy areas.

Jarrett’s permit will allow his group proceed from Union Plaza up State Street to Huntington, Broad and Williams streets to Mohegan Avenue, near the main entrance of the academy. It was issued April 24.

Should be a good time.
